After graduating Phi-Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University, Dr. Danoff attended Yale University School of Medicine, graduating with highest honors. After completing his urologic specialty training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he served in the United States Air Force Medical Corp with the rank of Major. He then founded the Tower Urology Medical Group at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Danoff's extensive surgical experience and expertise, particularly in the treatment of prostate, kidney and bladder cancers, has achieved worldwide recognition. He has served on the clinical faculty at UCLA Medical School, is a respected community philanthropist, and is the author of a best selling book (Warner Books) on male genital health and erectile dysfunction
