About Dr. Justin Houman
Inspired by his father, also a urologist, Dr. Houman saw firsthand the lasting relationships and transformative impact this field could have. But it was during his own clinical experiences, especially helping a young man struggling with infertility, that he realized urology was more than a career. Being part of this young man’s journey, from diagnosis to ultimately helping him become a father, was deeply meaningful. That moment made it clear to Dr. Houman that urology was more than just a medical field. It was a calling, his calling.
Dr. Justin Houman is a board-certified urologist and fellowship-trained specialist in male reproductive medicine and surgery.
Known for his compassionate approach and technical expertise, Dr. Houman provides advanced, individualized care to men facing fertility challenges, sexual health concerns, chronic testicular pain, and other urologic conditions that can deeply impact quality of life.
Dr. Houman is committed to removing the stigma around men’s health. He believes no man should have to suffer in silence and works closely with his patients to help them regain confidence and control over their well-being.
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Dr. Houman attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies, majoring in Anthropology. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Rochester and subsequently completed his urology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and fellowship in the highly competitive field of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at UCLA.
Dr. Houman’s practice focuses exclusively on men’s health, offering both surgical and non-surgical solutions. His areas of expertise include:
- Male infertility evaluation and treatment
- Microsurgical varicocelectomy for male infertility.
- Spermatic cord denervation for chronic testicular pain.
- Penile implant surgery (recognized as an AMS 700 Center of Excellence).
- Vasectomy and vasectomy reversal using advanced microsurgical techniques.
- Testicular sperm extraction (microTESE) for azoospermia.
- Peyronie’s disease treatment, including Xiaflex injections and corrective surgery.
- Male hormone optimization, including testosterone therapy and fertility preservation.
- Advanced kidney stone management, including laser lithotripsy and ureteroscopy.
- Prostate health, with both medical and procedural treatment for BPH and prostate cancer.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Houman lives in Los Angeles with his wife. He stays active as part of his own health routine by playing basketball and tennis, and is a lifelong Lakers and Dodgers fan. For Dr. Houman, sports is how he stays balanced.
Giving back has always been important to Dr. Houman. He supports organizations focused on men’s health and male fertility awareness. He’s been involved in local outreach programs that provide education and free screenings, and also supports causes that focus on mental health, mentorship, and healthcare access for young adults.
Dr. Houman speaks English, Spanish, and Farsi. He loves bold, flavorful foods, especially Mexican, Thai, and Chinese cuisine.
