Tower Urology is too small and outdated for the volume of patients. The rooms are old and dirty looking. The hallways are too narrow. Cedars needs to expand. If you are admitted to the hospital from emergency it takes 16-24 hours to get a room, if you are lucky-my personal experience!

I've been a patient of Dr.Ng for several years. My condition is pretty stable so the appointments are pretty "routine" by now. It's a busy place and I could see how a new patient might feel a little rushed sometimes. More by the staff than the Dr. He spends enough time with me to explain what's going on and what to expect or anticipate for the future. Overall I've been pleased with the care I get at Tower Urology. One suggestion /question is why are you not part of Cedars CS Link program? I always have to call to get lab work results, whereas if part of CS link it would be automatic. Worst part of the visit is that I live in Culver City and it's not always an easy drive. Not your problem but mine. Thanks.

I am a first-time patient, referred via Dr. Jay Schapira. I felt the front desk was a bit sterile, harried, short, and not all that welcoming. It's a busy office, I could see, and so perhaps there was no time to make a new patient feel welcomed.
Dr. Ng had a good manner, seemed interested, and wanted to read over the notes from MRI, Ultrasound, and CatScan. He noted he would contact me by the end of the week to go over more details. That was 2 weeks ago, and I have not heard from him, nor the office, until tonight with this survey.

I would like to have consideration at the front desk after a long time on the freeway and searching for parking and being desperate for the bathroom when I get into the office. I’ve often been told I had to wait. That is often called me too look elsewhere in the building or a restaurant down the street to use the bathroom. That doesn’t make any sense. I would welcome having the front desk be advised of the situations to be a little bit more accommodating to patient needs, which is borderline emergency in a case like this.

Tower Urology has to connect their medical records to the Cedars-Sinai Portal. Every other doctor I have at Cedars is hooked up. Inexcusable at this time for a patient to have to call for results and/or have my internist not be able to see my records from Tower. They have an odd policy on urine specimens. I tried to drop off one during covid & they said i hadn’t been in for a year. Wouldn’t go to Dr offices or elsewhere i am in my eighties. Dropped it at my internist. No problem. Then recently i had a aft apt so i dropped it in the mmorn not to carry it in my car. Again they wouldn’t take it. Dr Ing knows i always bring mine with me. Finally they said they could take me then instead of late aft. When you have a uti you need the specimen read or sent out. Sometimes if you leave a phone message for his nurse no one calls back. Results you have to call they don’t call to tell you the results.

My last visit I encountered a young lady at the sign in desk who was less than customer friendly. I did not know I needed an appointment to return a urine sample. She said why would you come here without an appointment. I explained to her I would not drive an hour and a half if I knew I needed an appt. I thought I was dropping it off. I did not know they needed blood work. I must say the nurse that took care of me was very personable and understanding. I wish I had gotten her name. She was excellent!!
