Prior to moving to LA from Boston I was an adjunct professor at Harvard Medical School and had access to an "executive program" that gave members special access to physicians who were specialists in their fields. I was blessed.
Upon moving to LA---same me, different environment--I have found only TWO physicians other than Doctor Bui who (a) treated me with respect and (b) compassionate not condescending. Doctor Bui is 9-Sigma more compassionate than any physician I know or knew (in Boston) and is expertise is beyond compare. He is also more than willing to make referrals to other physicians which not one other doctor in LA has done for me.
I wish I could rave about Doctor Bui in other ways than I have, but suffice it to say that I admire, respect and appreciate him more than I can adequately express. I am blessed that I was referred to him and that I am his patient today.
If whoever reads this can add a few superlatives, I'll endorse them. Go ahead--nothing you can say about Doctor Bui that is untrue.

1)- The waiting time is very hard. You have to go there with bladder full to the point you have to go, then you have to wait about 30 minutes to give your take your urine test.

I would like to share feedback regarding the appointment scheduling process. I made multiple attempts to schedule an appointment by phone, but my calls were not returned. Due to the lack of response, I ultimately had to go in person to the office to make the appointment. The building, parking and location are very difficult to access. The interior office was crowded and jammed with boxes in the hallways as if a massive UPS shipment had just arrived. Lighting was poor and interior was dark and shabby looking. Dr, Bui knows his stuff but PA or nurse was young and missed a vein for a blood draw. Long weight to see the doctor—more than an hour after appointment time. Would not go back but for Bui’s reputation and would not recommend others to go to Tower very enthusiastically.

Dr. Bui rushed through my exam but he conistantly has another person with him when he examines me. ALWAYS. It's off-putting. Like he doesn't trust me or something. And he's rushed when he advises me and the last time I saw him he was out of the room with his "witness" so fast I didn't have time to ask him a question - just bam! and out the door; closed behind him; Gone. Weird. If he'd like me to transfer to another doctor, okay. But he comes very highly recommended to me so I'd rather keep him if it's okay with him but he's so rushed and I don't think it's because he's busy or behind schedule.

Everything else done by him and the people at Tower Urology was awful, which is why I left Tower Urology.
I had a dispute with them about $500 I don’t think I owed them. In the midst of my trying to figure out how my insurance handled this the woman in bookkeeping told me she was sending the bill to Collections.
Then a week later she told me I should pay it.
So which is it? Collections or not Collections?
She insisted she hadn’t ever told me she’d sent it to Collections.
Another issue was that Dr. Bui came to my hospital room. I was scared about the operation, and had some questions.
But after a few minutes Dr. Bui said he had to go see his other patients.
“I’d love to stay and talk to you until the cows come home,” he told me.
And then off he went.
Well, I didn’t need him to stay and talk to me until the cows come home. I’d only needed another 2 or 3 minutes.
I created “THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW” and co-created, uncredited, “HAPPY DAYS”. I’m not an idiot.
But Tower Urology treated me as if I were an idiot.

The bookkeeping Department sent us the bill before or without noting that an insurance claim was pending. It was over fife thousand dollars. We had never received such a bill. I paid Dr. Bui ten thousand in 2013 to perform my prostatectomy. That was not a shock.
The bill for Dr. Resnick for Enid Sperber, my spouse, was quite disconderting and the book keeping department did not apologize, no one did.
If I have been a patient of Dr.Bui's for over a decade. If my wife has been also a client of the women doctors at Tower, I would hope that the bookkeeping department would be a little more either efficient or informative or capable.

I was frustrated that, aside from Dr. Bui's briefing, there was not a printed information sheet(s) explaining the BCG procedure in more detail, what a patient might experience and what I needed to take responsibility for. Doing investigations online turned out not to provide consistent guidance and left me with questions. The procedure may be very routine and casual for the office, but it is new to the patient trying to be sure he compliant.
